Welcome to Karate International of Durham, Inc. We have been offering instruction and training in the martial arts since 1980 making us the oldest martial arts school in Durham. Over the past 33 years, we have had the opportunity to touch the lives of thousands of students and have watched them grow, not only in their martial arts skills, but also in their life skills.

Karate International’s renowned martial arts training, fitness, and mental performance programs are under the leadership of Grandmaster Jessie Bowen 10th Degree Black Belt, Certified life Success Coach, author, and inductee into the World Karate Hall of Fame and United State Karate Hall of Fame.

Karate Internationals unique martial arts training principles are used by collegiate sports team as well as business professionals for team building and motivational training.

We specialize in fitness for all levels, our program have been a part of the Duke University Physical Education Department for over 26 years, offering classes in karate, self-defense, cardio-kickboxing, core fitness, and meditation.

Our Master Instructor, Jessie Bowen, is a Certified Life Success and Business Coach trained in helping our students achieves both their martial arts goals and life goals.
